We chose Moraga Retreat for our Mom because of so many reasons. It was close to our home so we could visit her daily. We were welcome to drop in at any time and encouraged to participate in the activities provided for the residents. Ana and the staff were very friendly and professional at all times. The home provided Mom the feeling that she was living in a home not a facility. She loved the garden and in fact planted a rose. She enjoyed sitting in the sun on the deck and snoozing on sunny afternoons. Staff worked very hard to prepare nourishing and healthy meals. David and I were always impressed with the patience and kindness my Mom was shown. We would recommend Moraga Retreat Care without reservation.

Following a stroke, my mother-in-law came to Moraga Retreat wheelchair-bound and anxiety ridden. After a few months of daily supervised exercise, she was able to get around most of the time using just her walker; and the gentle humorous interacting with Ana and her staff - especially John - brought back the sparkle to her eyes. The home itself is truly a home with beautiful furnishings, lovely roses in the immaculate garden, fabulous aromas when the meals are being prepared, and is always sparkling clean. We were warmly welcomed whenever we dropped by and communication with Ana was always prompt and in-depth. Our family felt so blessed to have found the perfect place where Oma was cared for and cared about.

My Mom has lived at a Moraga Retreat Care Home for many years and I have been very impressed with the level of TLC she receives every single day. At the helm is Ana Blaj, a bundle of energy, who always has the time to address any concerns and meet the needs of the residents and their families. My mother-in-law lived for over a year at the Moraga Retreat Care Home located on Moraga Road. My husband and I visited her regularly since we live nearby. First of all, the house is well maintained with lovely soft colors and a beautifully landscaped yard. Helen had her own room and bath and her own closet and TV set. Her meals with the other guests of the house were healthy and varied. The cooking in the kitchen was always delicious. I often sat with Helen when she had lunch or dinner and the table always had a decorative center piece, perhaps celebrating a current holiday or the season of the year. Helen's clothes and hair were always clean and neat. Her caregivers were so friendly, helpful, patient with everyone who lives there. We were so satisfied with Helen's care and we never worried about her during the time she was living at Moraga Retreat. You, also can feel that your loved one is in good and caring hands.
